This is me

I’m a Swedish performance maker, actor, director, author and artist based in Göteborg. My practice in the performing arts moves between post dramatic theatre, multidisciplinary performances, live art and performance art for both adults and young audiences. I also make video, audio and installation art. My work is immersive, participatory and site communicative. I’m interested in performative scenarios, world building, popular cultural phenomena and how humor can be used as an approach to vulnerable topics. My artistic practice revolves around self-exploration and in the meeting with the audience I investigate self-image, levels of consciousness, states of mind, identity construction, visualization and how we are controlled by our thoughts. Art as comfort and a world changing force is a recurring theme in my work which is also characterized by a personal and existential quality. I work with text, acting, directing, set design, spatial installations, music, sound, costumes, puppets, video and interactive elements. Poetic instructions or invitations are always present as a way to communicate with the audience. Regardless of the material or aesthetics I use, I always aim to turn the outward gaze of the spectator into an inward presence and contemplation.

I run the duo Trail The Blaze with musician/composer Erik Dahl. We make immersive and participatory performances where live music is one of the core elements.

I also run the duo Coup de Théâtre with actor/director Sara Klingvall. We make interactive and multidisciplinary stage performances.
